Another high watch has passed and we’re still here. Alas, yet another arrow for my heart, but I am still standing for, and serving Jesus. I am still looking for a 2032 Feast of Atonement Second Coming. I realize that the proverbial window is closing with each passing day, but I am still hopeful as I work and witness for Christ.
As we have already learned, the Gregorian calendar calls for an October 21st deadline start date for the seven year tribulation in order to have a 2032 Day of Atonement Second Coming. The Julian calendar calls for a November 3rd start date; and the Enochian calendar calls for a November 14th start date; give or take; again, if we’re hoping for a 2032 return. I believe in a pre-tribulation Rapture, therefore I understand that the clock is running on all three calendars, which everyone, if any, we can rely on.
The seven-year tribulation is exactly 2,520 days in length; it’s divided into two 1,260 day halves. If we believe in a pre-tribulation Rapture (and we do), than for a 2032 Second Coming to happen, we need a 2025 pre-tribulation Rapture by these dates, or there abouts. I say ‘or there abouts’ because this really is a moving target.
NOTE: A lot of watchers are adding 30 days to the tribulation by misquoting Daniel 12:11. This is a bad eisegete of the text. The tribulation is exactly 2,520 days to the day! What is happening in Daniel 12:11,12 has more to do with the 75-day interval that separates the Second Coming of Jesus with the beginning of the Millennial Reign of Christ. In each dispensational change, there is always a transitional event or brief season that moves people from one dispensation to the next.
With all of the calendars in play, it’s hard to tell which day is an accurate day; which is why Jesus told us that, ‘no one knows the day or hour.’ I find it hard to believe (or accept) that we would have to go around the proverbial horn again. I am still holding out for something to happen in the next few days; whatever it might be. I find it equally hard to believe that brother Joshua Mhlakela is a false prophet. He seems to be a genuine believer who proclaims Christ. I feel in my spirit that our prayerful support for him, rather than stone throwing, is in order. I encourage you to pray for our brother as we seek the Lord during this season.
I come from a Pentecostal background so I am used to proclamations being made by people that don’t come to pass. It’s not okay, but at the same time, the induvial who ‘missed it’ is still a person in need of correction, discipleship, and spiritual maturing. We’ve all been there and we all need to grow in our faith. Other watchers and so called scoffers are attacking brother Joshua and those who support him (that would be me). We are told to remain steadfast in our faith and not waver. It’s clear to me that God is doing something unique in this season; it’s a time of testing, and I for one want to pass. It’s only by God’s grace.
None of this panned out as I thought it might, but alas, I lost my clairvoyance powers when I became an Assemblies of God minister. I can no more see the future than I can my recent past; like what I had for breakfast this morning. I have a clear picture biblically of how things will manifest, but the details of when and how are as much a mystery to me as they are to those who claim to know otherwise. While I always enjoy a fresh word from the Lord, I always weigh it against God’s Word when I hear it. Remember, the written Word always trumps the spoken word. Never say, ‘Thus says the Lord,’ unless you have the goods. You know that you do when they are supported by God’s Word in proper context to what is being prophesied.
I get that a lot of watchers are a bit discouraged right now and even more frazzled as to what to do next. I should like to encourage you to remain faithful to the Lord and His Word. Maintain a healthy spiritual life formation and do your best to be your best in your witness of the Lord to all those He has entrusted to your care; beginning with your family. I am grateful to God for my life and the many aspects of it that I enjoy. It’s not a perfect ride, but it’s God’s gift to me and I want to glorify the Lord in everything that I say and do; even though sometimes I miss the mark at times; but I still keep trying.
Currently I am building a deck that is coming out nice. I have plans for more projects and I press on; but my heart is in heaven, with Jesus, and all who love Him. Until we’re there, we’re all still here and we have a job to do. Let’s remain faithful to the task and our call. As we press on, I challenge to keep a watchful eye for the Lord’s return. We’re not home yet, but we’re also not out of this watch zone either. God will reveal something to us that will help us press on toward the goal of the upward call in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:14) Keep on keeping on; there’s hope on the other side.
Maranatha!
