I remember as a kid in the 70’s there were posters with this catch phrase, ‘Hang in there Baby.’ The caption was imprinted with a picture of like a cat hanging on a wire or something. That’s how I feel right about now, especially as we continue on through and past October 6th & 7th of this year. I realize that many watchers might be a bit disappointed and confused; however, I should like to shed a little light on the subject and encourage you to hang in there because Jesus is still coming for us. His promise to return will never fail, even though high watch dates do. I just watched the latest vlog from George (Return of the King) YouTube channel. It was insightful and a bit refreshing for me. I don’t agree with everything he said, but a lot of what he presented bore witness with my spirit. It’s clear that George, a retired engineer, is very smart. Sometimes I have trouble following his thought process, but I do appreciate his spirit and tolerance for grace. I encourage you to check it out for yourself; it’s really good. I have enjoyed his vlogs over the years and appreciated his unique way of communicating and explaining things. This blog is in no way making disparaging remarks against my brother in Christ; rather, I should like to briefly explain what he said in his vlog.
In a nutshell, George says that he believes the Rapture will occur on Shemini Atzeret, the 8th day of tabernacles, which occurs on October 14th. He believes that the Rapture will occur then; seven days prior to the beginning of the tribulation. He informs his viewers that from Feast of Trumpets to Shemini Atzeret is 21 days. He proposes that Jesus came for us from heaven on the Feast of Trumpets, but is involved in a spiritual battle in the heavenlies that has delayed His approach. This would be difficult for even the most mature believer to fathom; however, this is what he proposes.
In Matthew 25:1-13 we have the parable of the ten virgins. The bridegroom was delayed and at midnight he finally came. The term ‘midnight’ infers waiting for the very last moment. While we were all hoping for the Rapture to occur on 9/23,24 or 10/6,7; we now must wait until 10/14,15 (Gregorian) or 10/27,28 (Julian). It’s a far stretch, but a viable explanation for a 21 day delay. George says that God tests us to see if we will still have faith even after things don’t work out. He also says that the phrase, ‘I am coming’ infers that He is enroute, not, I will arrive. It means something delayed. The bridegroom, who usually comes at sunset, is delayed; he comes at midnight, which infers the last possible moment. Shemini Atzeret is the very last day of the last feast (Tabernacles) for the year. The Church Age began on Pentecost and will end at the Rapture. This Shemini Atzeret Rapture theory infers that the Church Age ends on Shemini Atzeret.
Right now people are calling brother Joshua a false prophet and making all kinds of negative comments about him. I feel bad for him because even though those dates did pass, I still feel that he loves Jesus. George says that Joshua got the dates right, but there has been a delay due to spiritual warfare in the heavenlies. People are upset with Joshua because he shared what he felt the Lord told him to share.
Joshua’s story, in brief, goes like this: In 2016, Joshua said that Jesus told him to announce to the world that He is coming soon. In 2017, Joshua has a dream where he sees God’s throne room in heaven. He could hear the ‘sounds of war.’ Jesus tells him again, ‘I am coming soon.’ (As you recall, the Revelation 12 sign occurred on 9/23/17). In 2018, Jesus told Joshua, ‘There will be no world cup in 2026 because life on earth will not be business as usual for those who are left behind.’
He said that Jesus appeared to him later (Christophany). He was wearing a white robe and said, ‘From the time Israel became a nation in 1948, there will be 77 years until the Exodus.’ He said that Exodus was a reference to the Rapture. Jesus told Joshua, ‘On the 23rd and 24th of September 2025, I will come to take my church.’ Afterward, there will be a seven years tribulation on earth on those left behind.’ Then Jesus told him, ‘On the 15th of September 2032, I will return to earth as King.’
In Daniel 10, Daniel tells how he had a vision/dream. He was in a ‘deep sleep on his face, with his face to the ground.’ (vs.9) An angel of the Lord touched Daniel, who was in great fear. He got on his hands and knees, then he stood.
The angel told Daniel… “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. 13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. 14 Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come.” – Daniel 10:12-15
- This passage is where George gets the 21 day delay theory.
As far as casting aspersions on brother Joshua, I would not do that for sure. We all want to go home, but until we’re there, we’re all still here and we have a job to do for the Lord. We are to continue to be His witnesses to others and serve the Lord faithfully as we press on in our faith walk with Jesus. The Bible tells us to ‘test the spirits’ and that’s what I do. Even though Joshua’s proclamations didn’t pan out like we thought, I still feel that his love for Jesus is genuine. We have had so many ‘Rapture confirmation’ videos from so many people that had nothing to do with brother Joshua; and yet God was glorified. I feel that we’re still in this; it’s not over.
If we’re still looking for a 2032 Second Coming of Jesus to the earth with His Church and we are looking for it to happen on the Day of Atonement of that year, than the seven-year tribulation must start by October 21st (Gregorian) or by November 3rd (Julian). The seven-year tribulation is exactly 2,520 days in length; it’s divided into two 1,260 day halves. If we believe in a pre-tribulation Rapture (and we do), than for a 2032 Second Coming to happen, we need a 2025 pre-tribulation Rapture by these dates.
I believe that we don’t know the day or hour of the Rapture; however, George believes it will be on the 8th day of Tabernacles, Shemini Atzeret. This year Tabernacles begins at dusk on 10/6 and ends at dusk on 10/13, which leads directly into the holiday of Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah. I am a bit winded looking at dates or agreeing with those who set them. I do believe that God has a set date to come and get us and He will be faithful to receive us to Himself at His appointed time, whenever that is.
I realize that a lot of believers are struggling right now and when a perceived date passes, it can be difficult to endure. I do believe that this season is both humbling and trying for the body of Christ. We need to keep our eyes on Jesus and be faithful to Him as we press on. I do appreciate my brothers and sisters in Christ who are posting positive and encouraging vlogs; it reflects your love for Jesus and for His Church. I stay away from any negative talk or those who post comments that hurt or cut down others. I feel that we are still in the pocket of the Lord’s return. This has nothing to do with missed high watch seasons and everything to do with what is happening around us, in Israel, and in those nations that are struggling like we are; or worse. This world is in turmoil and the feeling of anxiety can be overwhelming at times; however, as we keep our eyes on Jesus, He will give us that peace that he has promised us as we place our faith and trust in Him.
Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. 28 You have heard Me say to you, ‘I am going away and coming back to you.’ – John 14:27,28a
In this passage Jesus not only promises us His peace, but He reminds us that He is ‘coming back to us, for us.’ These are good words for weary souls who are desirous to be with the Lord. I encourage you to make more time for the Master, both in His Word and in prayer. I challenge you to change up your routine where Christ is more central in your life. If the Master is coming back with His Church in 2032, than something big will need to happen in the next few weeks, or less. It’s not over yet, we need to have faith. One way or another, the Lord will reveal His perfect will when He shows up for us with heavenly trumpets and angelic fanfare.
As we progress through October, it’s clear that a lot is happening in our nation and in the middle east. We have civil unrest in some of our major cities, we have a national budget that remains unbalanced, we have a peace treaty being ratified that will supposedly free the rest of the 10/7/23 hostages, both living and dead; in exchange for 250 captured Hamas operatives. It should be noted that this treaty says nothing about the rebuilding of the Jewish temple in Jerusalem. I believe this is the season of our Lord’s return, no matter what dates are set and pass or whose theory is being presented. Jesus will get here soon, we just need to hang in there baby!
I speak both blessing and peace over your life as we close out this blog. In the words of hymn writer Helen Lemmel, (1922) ‘Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full into His wonder face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace.’ Can I get a witness!
Maranatha!
