As I write this blog, I feel a sense of dread for those who may be reading it on the other side of the Rapture. I have a ‘Rapture Packet’ entitled, In the Event of Global Vanishings that I have reposted next to this blog for your convenience. The Rapture packet is basic instructions for individuals who are left behind after the Rapture, but who may be confused, fearful, and a bit flustered as to why they weren’t taken with the rest of the body of Christ. You can download it or print it and send it to someone who may need it.
While much of what I have to say is included in that packet, I do feel for anyone who may feel rejected by the very Christ who you thought you had a relationship with. All left-behinders who are aware of the doctrine of the Rapture or who have been exposed to teaching related to this phenomenal global event, but who still missed out on the catching away, must be feeling a tremendous sense of loss and confusion.
To put it plainly, you thought you were saved, but the fact that you were not taken makes it clear that you are not saved. Be thankful you didn’t die in this state. It’s not too late to repent and receive Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. As simple prayer of faith, confessing to God that you’re a sinner in need of His forgiveness, which can only be received through Jesus, it what makes it happen. Believing with your heart and confessing with your mouth makes this miraculous heart change a reality as you will become a true born-again Christian. (Ephesians 2:8,9)
If you’re reading this on the other side of the Rapture, the details of what to do now and what to expect are laid out in the Rapture packet. What I wanted to say in this blog has more to do with your frame of mind and heart condition. If this is a post-Rapture read, the world as you knew it is over; there is no restraining power of the Holy Spirit on the earth so the devil and his minions will move against humanity in a way laid out in the book of Revelation. I strongly suggest getting hold of a Bible and reading it as if your life depended on it; because it does. At this point, the New Testament will be the best place to be reading.
The people who were taken were received by Jesus Christ Himself. We were not taken by UFO’s, nor did we experience some kind of evolutionary shift where we were selectively illuminated. We were not evaporated by some high tech weapon nor are we hiding out some place in the wilderness. We’re all home in heaven with Jesus and all who love Him. We will be back, but not for seven more years. During that time the antichrist will come to power and God will judge this world. Jesus will return to the earth with His Church exactly 2,520 days from the day of the signing of the treaty between many nations and Israel; which will be brokered by the antichrist after the proverbial dusts settles from the effects of the Rapture. The day that treaty is signed, that’s the day the clock on the tribulation will begin. Many people believe the Rapture is what starts the tribulaton, but it’s the treaty.
You may not survive the whole seven years. If you are killed or die, but you have Jesus in your heart; that is, you are saved by His grace, then your soul will be sequestered under the altar of the Lord in heaven where you will wait till the duration of the tribulation is completed. At the end, you will be resurrected and reunited with loved ones, Jesus, and all who have called upon His name for forgiveness. There’s always hope if you are in Christ; even during the tribulation. It will be much more difficult, but Jesus is mighty to save.
The Parable of the Ten Virgins (Matthew 25:1-13) best describes what has happened here. The five wise virgins represent the true Church of Jesus, and the five foolish virgins represent those who thought they were saved, but in reality, were not. The lamp with no oil is religion, but no true faith in Jesus. The lamp with oil represents a true faith in Christ and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. The lamp itself is just a vessel, it’s the oil that is needed.

You can still call upon the name of the Lord and be saved. (Romans 10:13)
